The newer, larger disk plows are designed with offsets between the gangs to prevent that.

I used to have an old 12' International tandem that wasn't offset and would leave a little ridge in the center when I plowed. I made a pipe drag for it that helped level the ridge and bust up larger dirt clods. It helped me get a little better seed bed.
