private land in wisconsin for disabled turkey hunter??
my dad was in an accident 30 years ago that left him in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down. last month was the 30 year anniversary of his accident. to celebrate his overcoming this trial, I am wanting to take him somewhere out of state to kill a turkey. he hasn't been able to kill a turkey in 5 years due to decline in our turkey population in Arkansas. we are hunting Missouri public land April 20-24, but it's really tough getting a disabled hunter on birds consistently on public land!! we hunt very hard, and I can pull him practically anywhere in the rickshaw I built for him, but competing with able bodied hunters is nearly impossible!
if anybody has a surplus of turkeys on private land, we would love to meet you and have a chance to hunt them. even if it's only the phone number of a kind hearted landowner or farmer, we will take any help we can get! we are particularly interested in the southern half of Wisconsin, partly because a shorter drive, and partly because there are several wheelchair only areas in some of the state parks. however, they are only open the first couple weeks of the season, and we can't make it until later in the season this year. thanks in advance for anyone willing to help!
