OEM Omega plugs have a 0.028" or 0.029" flash hole, and a 1/8" flame channel. The PR Omega plug has a 0.032" or 0.033" flash hole, and a 1/8" flame channel. After shooting 180 shots the OEM flash hole will grow by about 0.005", or perhaps more. The PR plug flash hole was the same it was when new. Results seem to indicate that shotgun primers have a very much more abrasive flame than magnum rifle primers.

Vent liners have nothing to do with these results.

After 2 month, it seems the flash hole of the breech plug which uses rifle primers, doesn't erode when using magnum rifle primers. It seems that the flame of shotgun primers is highly abrasive, and the flash hole of breech plugs using 209 primers just grows, and grows with each and every shot.

Results after only 2 month, are just that, short term results, requiring much more shooting..isn't that nice!
