For some reason i clicked on the link you provided.

To me it seems there are several myths carried forward regarding muzzle loading rifles. One myth is that 44 caliber bullets are not accurate in a 50 caliber rifle. There is no doubt in my mind, this is false. Whether they are as accurate as 45 caliber bullets i cannot say, but i know they are plenty accurate for hunting. To me the only thing that matters is hunting accuracy. Whenever i shoot my rifles, the forearm is always resting on my hand, which is how it will be when i am hunting.

Over the years i have read a lot about how the green sabot are so thick they don't leave the bullet as quickly as the black sabot. How the green sabot petals don't open, so they stay with the bullet too far, and thus affect accuracy. Where i shoot my rifles, the green sabot are found closest to where i shoot from. From what i have seen the green sabot leave the bullet earlier than the black sabot. Ironically their petals are not bent back hardly at all. It sure seems strange to me that the black sabot, with petals bent a way back, fly further than the green sabot. It isn't at all intuitive. Much the same way that global warming is bringing all this cold cold weather and heavy snow. How can global warming bring cold cold weather with heavy snow? The answer won't come from me, but i do know it certainly is happening.

Green sabot leave the bullet sooner than black sabot, and a warming world is bringing colder winters, with more snow Two truths that are counter intuitive.
