Right now, I won't leave Southeastern Mass for deer. It's loaded here, but you need know how to hunt pressured deer in urban areas. Your not going to kill lots of huge racked bucks, but we have good body sized deer. You probably won't find any land to lease either.
Why not go to Ohio?
I was surprised nobody mentioned Mass or Ohio either. Although I have to completely disagree with not killing big racked bucks, MA is probably the best state for large racked bucks. How big are you talking? 130s are a dime a dozen if you put your time in during the rut. Plenty of 150s out there too.
