I run cameras in areas like this around the suburbs of Chicago. I have multiple 160 to 180 class bucks. Its just not fair!! I can't hunt them but just getting them on camera is a lot of fun.

I think your buddy was off though with the fine for the deer. Someone poached a few bucks around Chicago last year and one was close to 220" and I believe and he only got a $25,000 fine plus this was in Cook county so gun hunting is . If he was fined 80K he had a lot of other outstanding warrants or he was hunting with a fully automatic fun with a missile launcher in the truck!
