They do a little bit to much damage for my liking. Also if a fellow is using carbons they can be a bit of a problem after awhile. The little arms smacking back upon hitting the ground, a tree or a rock can start to damage a carbon. Eventually they will break.

I just use hard rubber bludgeons that screw in. There are no holes or torn meat and it kills them instantly in most cases. I have had a few coons run a bit. One ran about 5 foot to a tree then climbed 2 or 3 feet up it and fell off dead. One coon was in open ground and ran towards a tree making it 8 or 10 yards. On squirrels and rabbits none have ran off yet. A few of the squirrels have flopped around a bit though.
