i am having trouble finding ammo for my 338 WM. this year i shot the federal premium 225 trophy copper which was very accurate but it did punch all the way thru my elk @ 480 yards with apparently little to no expansion-entry hole and exit where the same size. at 100 yards the nosler partition seemed to group well but i can't find them locally and the copper bullets i had to buy in Ft Worth when i was down there. accubonds in winchester did group well nor did hornady SST. i am still looking for something i can depend on and is reasonably available. my local cabelas has the core locks but they don't group well enough to be trust worthy out to the long ranges one can get into elk hunting. even the on line shops seem to have a hard time stocking 338 ammo. i am at a point were i am considering a 300 wm just so i can get ammo. there seems to be alot more of that around than the 338.
