RE: With all the lost deer this season..........
I think this is the 3rd year I' ve been on the site - 3rd deer season at least - and so far the the wounding/lost deer " chatter" seems to be about the same proportion as in past years. Not scientifically analyzed of course, but consider many likely do not post their misfortunes, so as not to be Beat Up on line.
While 99 of 100 would agree that we should all strive to make a clean kill, it seems people forget that arrow wounding occurs and some deer are even lost. Lets not sugar coat it - Lets work to educate others on arrow placement and tracking skills. I think its very fair to say though that a large proportion of wounded deer survive their wounding.
Most hunters that wound a deer and do not recover it feel bad enough, and learn from their mistakes, we don' t need to to beat them up here - just point out something that might be helpful next time.
