For about 10 years I used a rem. model 660 chambered in 350 rem. mag, killed a lot of deer with the potent lil rifle, however our lil deer didn't have enough resistance for those big slugs, I only saw it put one deer on the ground at the report, but he was on his feet and running so quick I wasn't really sure he went down at all, he didn't go far and evidence of a hit was really clear, hair, shreds of meat and blood blown back through the laurel brush. I've killed many DRT with lighter faster rifles, 243 win. and 25 wssm mostly, a few with a 270 running 110 gr hornady HP's, and a bunch with a 6mm
now adays I like an exit hole, they leak better when you don't make that shoulder shot that drops them on the spot.
