As the title states, my conversion to MZ hunting has changed my strategy. I grew up hunting in SD. ( see some of the other members threads for the terrain ). 2-300+ yard shots were standard fare. I had ( have ) a Sako M95 chambered in a 7mm Weatherby. Match that with some nice Harris Bi-pods and effective hunting range was significant. I then moved to KS and employed the same strategy. I would sit up high, over likely travel routes and pick them off with natural movement or more often, when other hunters bumped them.

This tactic allowed me to be well away from my game and allowed for movement, noise, etc.

Then comes the conversion to this obsessive hobby. Originally, it was to obtain better tags, supplementing the CF hunt, if you will. A few years later and the with CF's only come out for an occasional inspection.

As a result, I've changed my strategy to up close and personal. I hunted with my back up against a tree for a few years and finally bought a ground blind. The ground blind is the way to go in my world. Sit in a chair, have your snacks, scratch whatever needs scratching, I love it.

Finally, the point of this thread. I'm looking for an Ameristep Brickhouse 360. Not the new ones they now offer but the old ones with steel hubs and magnet windows. I bought mine new 3 years ago so there must be some new, old stock around. If anyone has a line on them I'd buy several. Please let me know if you run across any as my web searches have been futile.
