lol X, the 300Wby is a FINE caliber and still one of my sentimental favorites. A handloader can make that cartridge do just about anything the Ultra and similar cartridges can.

I was re-arranging some ammo at my bros place today and noticed on the new 180 HighPerf Warbird loads that with a 28" 1 in 14" barrel the velocity is OVER 3600fps. That is SMOKIN and just has, " Red shoot me at elk" written allover it!
