Clear pass through. I may want to rethink my bullet selection. Didn't get the expansion that I had hoped for.
Harvest: Saturday morning 8:10 CST
Weather; overcast with temp about 53 degrees..
Place: Marshall County, Tennessee
What bullet should I use on Whitetail for good expansion and accuracy?
To quote the late Jack Oconnor

Exactly what part of dead are you unhappy with?

Seriously it sounds like at the speeds you were pushing that bullet.. the distance and the realitve soft area of the neck you were hitting you would not yeild much expantion with most any bullet under those conditions you described.

The 240 XTP has a pretty Thick Jacket on it compared to the .452 250 XTP. As a General rule I favor the .452 250 XTP and the .452 300 Gr XTP over the 240 XTP for that very reason on medium weight animals like White Tail Deer and Antelope.
