There could possibly be two different violations here as was touched on earlier. Even if the land was not posted they likely won't arrest him from tresspassing but a Conservation Officer (thats what they are called in IN, not sure about IL) could charge them for hunting without permission. Not sure what the penalty is, probably just a fine but that might get the point across.
