800 yards requires target turrets IMO.
I'm not capable with my "ballistic plex" (BDC type) reticle - but that's okay with me. :-)
and those turrets better be repeatable, you need a chart tuned to your trajectory just as you tune a load to your rifle, the hardest thing for folks who have never done this is setting the focus/parralex to make sure the crosshairs appear where they are on target. then on sunny days its mirage, oh and that little thing about setting windage,
By the way guys I hit a 5# fire extinguisher Saturday at 985 yds, centered a steel plate at 1022, had a good day.
