I have never hunted with it myself but my kids use it with a section of the stock removed and it works great for them. My son and daughter can touch bullets on the target at 50yds using a simple rest with a 3-9x40 Omega scope set a 6.

My son took his first doe with it last year, 60gr of BH209 pushing a Barnes 250gr TMZ. They load snug but I like them that way.

Post I did a while back:

I took my youngest son out shooting a few weeks back, he did well but the Apex stock was just too long for him. I decided to sell the Traditions pursuit and pick up a TC Impact.

I almost bought the black model with the blued barrel but then saw a camo version with the weathershield barrel (looks just like my son's Triumph which I really like). My main reason for the Impact was the adjustability of the stock, down to 12.5 inches LOP versus 14.5 on my Apex, and the weight of the rifle, which still feels quite light with the scope and sling attached.

I got it all cleaned up and headed to the range for a quick sighting in at 50 yards(my sons limit on deer) with the Omega scope. After a few shots of sighting in, I had it shooting where I wanted it with 60 grains of BH209 and a 250 grain Barnes TMZ. The rifle shot well despite the warm temps and windy conditions.

I wasn't sure how this rifle would handle blowback with the sliding hood design for opening it up. I was very happy with the results, no blowback at all and the primers looked clean.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Impact. Time will tell how it holds up but I don't foresee any issues at all. I'm anxious to get my son out shooting at the range in a few days. Youth deer season starts Sept. 15th and if he handles the Impact as well as he did the big Apex, he will have no trouble at all putting the first deer of the season in the freezer.

The breech plug is not a speed breech but the supplied tool to remove it works good and only takes an extra min. One end of the ramrod is not threaded but for me, has not been an issue, if one wanted both ends threaded, it would be easy to drill and tap.
