I shot a doe before that had something like that on her leg. it wasn't as big but it was similar. I cut around it and all just to see and it was just like a hard mass of tissue and blood really that's it. So I guess its just some tumor type deal.
I guess one of my dad's buds shot one with an injury, was infected, had a huge lump on it with an arrow inside. I guess the entire deer was infected & sick - all the meat was bad.
