Mounting the camera high cuts down on the field of view due to the angle. A few more suggestions which you may already know: 1)do not face the camera east or west due to the rising and setting sun which causes either redness or white out due to over exposure. Facing south in the winter will also cause these problems due to the sun making a lower arc. In the summer, the sun passes more directly overhead. 2)trim all vegetation in the immediate area. Wind will cause leaf, grass or branch movements, giving false triggers (taking picture or video with no wildlife). 3)do not set up too close to the trail. Cameras go into a sleep mode to save power. A passing animal may be missed as the camera needs time to wake up. Setting up facing down a trail would be preferred unless setting up over a bait, if this is legal in your area. Good luck.
