Hunting around Richmond is mostly clubs that use dogs. Powhatan WMA is not the only one. There is supposedly some open hunting areas at Pocohantas State Park so check with them also. Look at the VDGIF site and see what other WMA and state parks might work for you. Also many go to Fort AP hill and hunt there but that takes a little research and planning due to rules and regulations. There are also quota hunts each year but I think you are a little late to apply this year. Good luck on finding a place to hunt. You do know, of course, that you can not hunt on Sunday in Virginia. For now at least.
