X2, if you light it when you first get in the stand, the deer will have heard a lot more noise from you walking in then just a click. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Sometimes we concentrate so much on being quiet but some of the loud noises I heard from animals when I'm in the wood are 10x louder than me tip toeing in!
Agreed. There's a road on the east side of my property with regular traffic from the oil industry so there is noise. Deer at my place appear to have come to accept chainsaws and my tractor. In fact, they seem curious about new sounds and sounds that are close to natural and come to investigate. And then there's the sound of the feeder.... I don't worry about it but I also don't let it illuminate me early or late legal shooting times. I'd think that a bigger problem.
