I am curious to see how many of you have actually had success while using estrous scents? If so what brand of scent did you use and what happened? DId you have the scent in central location or did you use a trail drag? The reason why I ask is because I have used many different brands of estrous scent over the years and have never had a buck come into it or even notice it was there. The one thing it did do was cost me one nice P&Y buck. I had a scent wick out with James Valley estrous lure on it when a group of does came by downwind of the scent wick with a nice P&Y 10-pointer hot on their trail. Well to say the least the does did not like the estrous scent. The 1 old mature doe start snorting like crazy at the scent wick. The 10 pointer was love struck so even though the doe was snorting he kept coming. However the doe would not come past the scent wick and turned and ran the other way taking the big 10 pointer with her. That was 2 years ago and to this day I have not used any other type of scent other than cover scent. I was just curious to see what kind of success you guys have saw from estrous scent.
