they are illegal..but I still use them. Inour FL swamps our cypress trees start with a base with a diameter of a 20 inch wheel..but after about 2 foot it's only about the size of a pumpkin...nice climbing size..i need one screw step to get over the base..is it wrong? But then is stepping on a 4inch baby pine tree wrong..lol technically yes...
