I am inclined to agree that rack wise the second one is bigger. I also believe weight wise the first one is quite a bit bigger. I am guessing this by the back being held up straighter. If you look at both of those moose you will se the hump and the sagging in the second moose more profound which is quite common on younger moose as well as and old moose. A big moose in his prime will have almost a straight line going from the rump to the hump. These ones tend to get up to the 1,000 lb. range in this area ..
This moose was shot by a 81 year old in New Brunswick, Canada. This was just across the river from here and it was 21 points weighing in at 955lbs.. He was carried into a tree stand and shot this moose himself.. I am not sure what the spread was on it.
