Thanks guys. At least I got a couple people to respond and I thank you. I too have wondered how realistic the grunt needs to be. As you guys said, lots of calls seem to have a plastic sound if there is such a thing. At least I' m not the only one who thinks that grunt calls in general don' t represent the realistic grunt sound a buck makes. When I heard my first actual deer grunt many years ago, the first thing that hit my mind was...My call doesn' t sound anything like that! So I decided there and then to learn to mimic a deer grunt. I wish I would get some more takers on this thread to see what others think. Thanks again for the response guys.
