Default 7 Rem vs 7 Wby

I own several of both, and I definitely favor the Weatherbys. If you reload or even shop around, ammo for the Weatherby rifles is about the same as the 7 Rem. About 18 months ago I saw a listing for 270, 7mm and 300 Weatherby brass and bought 6 boxes of 7mm for $150. I prefer to load my own ammo and I find about 320 ft/s difference in my 7mm Weatherbys and the 7mm Rem Mag Tika. All three guns have 26" Barrels. The Tika is about 1.6" groups and both of the Weatherbys are .6 inch groups with 154gr Hornadys. Maybe an animal doesn't know the difference between the speeds, but I have never had anything move after being hit with the Weatherbys. I can't say the same for the Tika. I also have a BAR in 7mm Rem mag and It shoots better than the Tika and also seems to hit harder, why I don't know. The Browning has less recoil than the 270's I own and is a pleasure to shoot. I hunt everything from Javelina to Moose with the 7mm Weatherby rifles. I just found a deal on 257 Weatherby ammo ($32.00/box) and bought all 7 boxes they had. I have some Weatherby brass I have reloaded 11 times. Rem mag is good for about 5 to 7 reloads. You get what you pay for.
