How do we know our watches are calibrated correctly? That 1mph on the speedometer may be closer to accurate than that 1minute on my watch. I'll bet there's at least a 10 minute discrepancy between the fastest hunter's watch in the woods and the slowest. So, a couple minutes may be margin of error.
***You don't "calibrate" a watch, you set it. Give me a break, as 10 minutes is absolute baloney and just another excuse for violating the starting/ending time! You should be able to keep a watch within one minute of actual time, but to say you're off much more than that is more than a stretch!
