My 18yr. old son shot his first last year, when he went to squeeze off the shot it didn't fire, he hadn't chambered the round all the way. He had it in him to settle back down behind the natural blind we built, chamber the round, rise up and drop the deer in it's tracks @ 130 yards using a mossburg 12ga. He put the shot right on the spot.
Proud that he took the deer but prouder he kept his composure and made the shot. He was by himself in the woods, I was in the house and heard the shot.
