Got a chance to head down on some inlaws land near a family I had an afternoon meeting with. I really enjoy the muzzle loader but don't have enough trigger time to know the ballistics too awfully well. I replaced the scope I had with the Leupold as I wanted to so I did
Not making the same mistake I made last time I sighted in a rifle I got at 20 yards and shot to see where she hit.
Hit low at 20 yards.
2 bullets later and she was hitting on at 20 yards. I'm leaving it there until I get to a better place to shoot.
I did attempt to walk back at different intervals and see where it hit. Looks like at 50 yards using a stick as a rest ( yeah not the best thing to sight in a gun) it is hitting high.
This will get me on paper and I can see where it is hitting at 100 yards soon.
I am using 90 grains of Black Horn 209 and 250 grain shockwaves.
Hope I bag another Buck worth taking or at least a Doe for meat this season. If I don't get one with a bow first.
