Yeah the forecast said thunderstorms all day pretty much, but once again the weather folks were dead wrong. That's got to be the easiest job on earth. They guess what the weather is gonna be, and if they're wrong nobody holds them accountable. It kills me that you can turn on the weather channel these days and it's bound to be a show about "forecasting the end"...........you can't even forecast the weather 1 day in advance, how on earth are you going to predict the end of time? Buncha turkeys

Weather Underground is just about the best site for forecasting. It even gives an hourly forecast of the barometric pressure, that's what I like. Yesterday and today the pressure was over 30.34 in. Highest it's been all turkey season. They didn't gobble good at all this morning but I think that was due solely to the high winds where I was hunting. But when I got down in the bottoms it was pretty calm at times and the turkeys were all around cruising the fields. It wasn't a great day for gobbling but the turkeys were really active it seemed. I saw 4 or 5 along the roadside on the way out. I'm glad I got out of bed, but you know it could've gone either way. Just happened to be a good day for me.
