Once again great job SS! 2 Birds in two days thats gettin it done in a hurry. I had a tough hunt this morning,the hardest I have ever worked without a bird in the truck. Got set up at 5:45,hens roosting a bit close for comfort,70 to 80 yards. No Tom with them. 6:15 a Gobble 500 yards to my right,I waited to make sure one was not with the hens,notta. Took off toward the loud mouth,closed to 150 yards,he was loud and proud. Every time I called he got louder,but he would not come. Crossed the creek closed to within 80 yards,he was still hammering but would not move. Move 20 yards closer could not get any closer to thick. He was still hammering, I went silent,he gobbled a couple of more times. Then he was gone,I hoped he was finally coming to me,so I got ready looking for any movement through the heavy brush. Nothing sat there for 15 minutes total silence,game over. Thats the totallity of my day,no bird.
