I also have the Cabela's Elite Scout pack, as well as an Eberlestock X1A1. I like them both, but for different reasons. The X1 is built like a tank and is a great day pack. Plenty of room and you can add additional pouches. I added one on the hip strap for my range finder and headlamp, and another for my bino's. I also like the rifle and bow carrying features, but it's a little bigger and bulkier than the Cabela's Elite pack. If you want a top quality pack, it's hard to beat Eberlestock.
The Elite Scout pack is well built, light weight, and great for a hike to the stand or spot and stalk. However, I'm not a fan of the straps covering the entry to the pack. It can sometimes make it a little cumbersome to get into, especially when it's full. That being said, I still think it's a good pack. Time will tell if stands up to my abuse! I'm confident the Eberlestock will last a long time.
