As most folks know it is not unusual for a particular rifle to like (or not like) certain loads. Fortunatley for the non-handloaders there are many, many factory loads available for the more popular cartridges ... such as 243 Win., 308 Win., 270 Win., 7 mm Rem. Mag., 7mm/08 Rem, 30.06 Spr., 300 Win. Mag., etc. And my expereince has been that one can usualy find a factory hunting round that will do just fine. The sub-1MOA load is indeed rare, but they are out there for some rifles.

It is when you get to the odd hunting rounds such as 6 mm Rem., 6.5x55 SE, 260 Rem., 257 Roberts, 7 mm Mauser, 303 Brit., 300 Savage, some of the "Short Magnums", the "big bores" such as 45/70 Gov. and 444 Marlin, etc. ... and any of the "proprietary" cartridges ... that's when the availability of factory loads drops off and the advantages of hand loading really shine.
