Just thinking outloud, why would LE need a 388LM? Isnt the average shot measured in feet and not 1500 yards? I understand precise shot placement is the utmost important factor and the AI can provide that. The 308 win can and will do that at urban ranges.
NF are great scopes but I believe they take a back seat to US Optics and Schmidt & Bender.
We do not always work in urban areas. And yes, most urban sharpshooter shots are under 30yds. We can and do get deployed to different regions for various reasons. Best to have more than not enough. Especially when maybe dealing with barricaded incidents. I agree as well that Schmidt and Bender scopes are great scopes.
