Congratulations mossberg835283514 !! I know how you feel...I got my first bow-killed deer this Fall too. Hope you have many more opportunities. When I took my New York State required bowhunter training course, my instructor (an accomplished bowhunter), told us two things that have stuck with me.

1. Wait at least 1/2 hour before pursuing a deer you have hit with an arrow.

2. Any deer taken with a bow is a trophy.

I have come to agree with him wholeheartedly. Bowhunting is as satisfying as hunting gets.
