I drink coffee on stand when its real cold. Helps keep me thaw. Honestly, I am beginning to think that way too much it being made out of deer smelling you. Deer encounter different smells in the woods all the time. One year, I could smell the wood stove from our camp, at least 1/2 mile away. The deer smell it to. I think that human scent, stronger whiffs of it spook deer. If your scent is minimal, coffee isn' t going to spook them. I also feel that if a deer know somethings up, they will begin trying to smell you and if they catch a whiff of you, game over, they will leave the area.
