I' m 5' 7" with regular arm length. With my old bow, I drew 30" . With my new bow I' m now drawing 29" ....alot of people say I should be drawing 28" . I never had my forearm slapped. I shoot with my elbow locked. Only time that happened was when I shot my friend' s traditional stick bow...I didn' t know better....I had a completely open grip on the handle of the bow (the same way I hold my compound).

I think how a person grip the handle and if he/she cant the bow to the left (right had shooter) causes more arm slap. Just my .02 cents.
