That is a very good rule to live by, and especially on a blued rifle. Now, based on my experience (semi
) if you have a true stainless steel barrel, it is WAY more forgiving. I still try to clean my SS guns asap, but I'm not worried if for some reason I can't get to it for a few days. NEVER had an issue on SS, and I shoot pyrodex.
