I bought my mdl 7 xcr for 600 bucks and I put a zeiss 3x9 conquest on it with rings and mounts I am still under a grand. less than I could find a kimber for the rifle alone.
The rifle has been absolutely perfect. maybe not as high of quality overall but still a solid dependable rifle.
I have to admit internet or not the hit and miss deal had me checking myself before I found the model 7. I was looking close at the tikka as well.
