Although I don' t own one, I do know Savage has greatly improved from what they used to be.The 308, although used heavily by the military,for some reason has been overlooked and underated by many hunters. It' s a great round,very accurate, with lots of hitting power. I' m sure you' ll be very pleased with your choice
