Generally easier. Far less case prep.
If possible purchase carbide size die in a three die set. This eliminates case lubing.
Straight wall cartridges require
Size, remove spent primer, very slight case mouth bell, new primer, powder,bullet and usually either a roll or taper crimp depending on chambering.
Check cases for uniform length as this wil give you uniform crimps.
