Not true...I reside in Michigan and have purchased rifles/shotguns over the counter in Utah, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Wyoming and Washington in the last 2-3 years through commercial dealers where background checks were performed...every state is different...I know for example what you say is true in Oregon, but not everywhere...I purchased a rifle 2 hours ago in CT with MI ID...
