I'm teaching my 11 year old son gun safety this season. We would like to find a place where we can hunt squirrel or rabbit with a pellet gun. I'm not keen on hunting with firearm deer/pheasant hunters, so I'm looking for someplace other than public hunting grounds. I was told we wouldn't be allowed to hunt with a pellet gun anywhere that there are firearms being used on public lands.

If you have a suggestion or land that would work for us, that would be great. It would be great to be able to get outside the suburbs for some shooting and a chance to take some small game.

I'd appreciate any suggestions!
