I have been hunting there 3 times and from what I can see the term "canned hunting" doesn't apply. Then again those animals probably can't get off the Island so they are captive in the broadest sense. Physically tramping through the spongy tundra and bogs in Newfoundland was almost as tough as hunting elk in the west with its rare air and high mountains. I agree one man's ethics don't necessarily fit someone else. I have no problem with anyone hunting as long as they do it legally. Fair chase is a relative term and means different things to everyone.
