I know everyone has there way, but this is what works for me. I hunt in the pouring rain, wet snow and since I started doing this I always get a BOOM and have never once had a dud. The first time I thought of this I tried it and hunted through the pouring rain that day, unsure of how it worked I fired my MLer at the end of the day and it went off just fine.
I also have gone for over a week and longer with this method and have had my MLer in the hot to cold back to hot and cold again with the same results and no problem ever with it not firing.
I cut a piece of masking tape a little larger than a quarter, I place it over the end of the muzzle wich is cleaned and oil free. It holds and has never come off and keeps out the moisture, period and it's simple to do. I tried the finger cots and balloons, they rip and tear and ar'nt 100% reliable, the masking tape is. I swear by it and will continue to use it forever.
