I learned this season that my eyesight may be fine for open sight target shooting but in low light conditions I just cant see the darn things. Even tried the flourescent paint and still a no go. I am going to scope either my .54 cal or .58 cal Green Mountain barrels that are both on Renegade stocks (drop-in barrels, 32" 1:70). What type of scope base do you guys recomend? I do not like see thru's. I used to have my hands on an offset Thompson Center base that used the 2 rear sight screws and the rear breach screw but I sold it to a friend. I wish I had it back as I believe it would have worked. I know I can just use a flat weaver base but I would like to try and avoid drilling any extra holes. Need some help guys
