to move up 2 inches at 25 yds requires roughly an 8 inch moa bump up. so yes a 25 yd zero can be around 8 inches high at 100 yds if he shot 1 inch high at 25 yds he would be 12 inches high at 100yds the higher the scope the worse these numbers will be

This makes no sense....

Bingo! That's about as screwed up a post regarding bullet trajectory and a scope as I've ever read anywhere. I hope he reads and looks at the charts in the link I just posted! One of the charts shows a typical 30-06 bullet about +1" at 25 yards, than it's at +3" at 100 yards, and -3" at about 210 yards. That would be a good sightin for someone hunting where the longest shots aren't more than that distance. Most guys hunting out west will zero their gun at 200 yards so that the MPBR is over 300 yards for the longer shooting expected out there in the more open country. My .243, 25-06, and both 30-06s I take out to Wyoming are zeroed at 200 yards, while the 30-06 03A3 that I use in northern Michigan where the shots are close is zeroed at 100 yards.
