I thought he said he was shooting over the deer.
It's quite a trick to get a bullet to elevate a foot between 25 and 100 yards shooting from a bench.

That is what he stated and I still say there is no way in any kind of a regular setup with a scope on any centerfire rifle for it to be zeroed at 25 yards and then be 12" high at 100 yards. No way no how, unless something is drastically wrong with one or more pieces of the equipment being used.
