I have a 270 and a 308. Love both of them. I tend to grab my 270,which is a Tikka T3 Light more than my other one because it's light. As far as brands,get ready because everybody has different oppinions on that. I think you can get a lemon out of any brand,I know I have. Savage and Tikka would be my first choice. I would do alot of searching before you choose one. Good luck!
