One year, as I sat near a hot spot that a huge 12 pointer was using, I was cold and decided to pour me a cup. I checked the harvested bean field in front of me where he usually crossed and it was all clear for hundreds of yards. I slowly stood, turned and retrieved my thermos from my pack.

I turned back to face the field and had just taken the cup off the thermos. About 50 yards out in the bean field stood the 12-pointer....looking dead at me.
