I have always heard stories about most big bucks being killed midday, especially in the rut. I didnt buy into this( I am 22), until a couple of years ago during hunting season. It was unseasonally warm, around 65-70 so I was basking in the sunny weather at around 11 AM fooling around with my grunter waiting for my brother to fill our last tag. I remember thinking to myself, no way is a buck going to come out during this time, let alone on a beautiful sunny day like this.
